Hotel Enterprise in Corso Sempione Milan hosted the General Assembly of Confindustria Marmomacchine. In the presence of 130 delegates from all over Italy, Dr. Flavio Marabelli Honorary President gave way to an emotional assembly in memory of Roberto Alimonti. Immediately after he gave the floor to the President Dr. Marco De Angelis who carried out a year of work and future projects for the audience.
Dr. Flavio Marabelli welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Luigi Di Maio, immediately afterwards the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Sen. Gilberto Pichetto Fratin who participated in the panel of comparison “ITALY MARBLE CHAIN: VISIONS AND TRAJECTORIES BEYOND THE EMERGENCY”, which was also attended by the General Manager of ICE Agenzia, Dr. Roberto Luongo, the General Manager of Veronafiere Spa - Fiera di Verona, Giovanni Mantovani.
During the assembly the new board of directors was elected, including our Chief Innovation Officer Arianna Marchetti, who declared: "we represent the marble supply chain in Italy, a made in Italy carved from natural stone for centuries and exported around the world. In my role as director I make available my time and my skills to make a contribution to the association".
During the meeting was also present the CEO of Marchetti Tech Joseph Anthony Miceli, who said, during the discussion with some colleagues: "we, as a company, strongly believe in the centrality of the association to represent and coordinate the entire supply chain. This is a dynamic industry that makes an important contribution to the trade balance of our country." And adds: "we all start from Italy collaborating primarily between Italian companies to continue to be ambassadors of natural stone and the technologies to work it. Italian excellence not yet perceived in the world, as highlighted by the Be-Italy survey."
Arianna Marchetti adds: "Unfortunately, foreign markets still perceive us as a traditional country, with the old symbols of pizza and mandolin instead we are a country capable of research, development and innovation.”
