Press Release-Giannis Galanis in Carrara strengthens the bond in the stone industry between Italy and Greece

Giannis Galanis CEO of Stonenews from Greece was in Carrara at our office for the general meeting of Confindustria Marmomacchine that was held in Milan on 15 July 2021.

Present during the meeting our CEO Joseph Anthony Miceli and CIO Arianna Marchetti, that with Giannis Galanis they discussed the general trend of the Stone Industry and the latest news regarding applied technology.

“During this meeting we talked about the long history that links Greece with Italy and about all the economic possibilities that see collaborations between the two countries.

The sectors that see many common synergies not yet used between the two countries are certainly Stone Industry, both for natural stone and for technology.

During the meeting we talked about other sectors such as agri-food, boating and the chemical industry, and we saw how one country can support the other.

Great challenges wait for us, all countries are trying to bring industrial production to pre-covid levels, together we are trying to implement plans to restore our economies

Close collaboration between our countries becomes increasingly essential and strategic, both for the geographical position and for the know-how that each of our countries can express.

Thanks to the professionalism of Giannis Galanis, our company is preparing a tour in Greece to evaluate important industrial collaborations, both in the field of stone, engineering, and chemistry.

The next meeting will be in Dubai on September 12th and for the next Verona fair on September 29th where the stone industry hopes to be present to relaunch the stone sector”.
