Marchetti Tech has chosen electric cars for its fleet

Calculation of greenhouse gas emissions from a typical passenger vehicle according to U.S. data Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Marchetti Tech, company based in Milan, manufacturer of water-based paints with Graphene contained in the GRAFY-TECH™ line, has decided to make important changes concerning the mobility of their employees.

GRAFY-TECH™ was created to protect the environment, we can't think of driving around with cars that pollute our cities.

We asked ourselves, what are the average annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of a typical car?

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a typical passenger vehicle emits approximately 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. This number can vary based on a vehicle's fuel, fuel economy, and the number of miles travelled per year. The average gasoline vehicle on the road today has a fuel economy of around 22.0 miles per gallon and drives around 11,500 miles per year. Each gallon of gasoline burned, creates approximately 8,887 grams of CO2 and there are one million grams per metric ton. Therefore, the average vehicle in a year of driving has CO2 emissions from the tailpipe of around 4.

The EPA uses it to compare CO2 emissions from other sources with emissions from passenger vehicles. For example, an energy efficiency program that reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 4,600 tons of CO2 per year has the same impact as removing 1,000 vehicles from the road.

Marchetti Tech Srl has no doubts, we can no longer waste time, in fact we have already purchased TESLA models for our pilot project and reconvert our all-electric fleet.

GRAFY-TECH™ wants to help companies to reach a level of sustainability in a relatively short time, starting with electric cars that purchase energy from renewable sources is the first step.
